How to identify natural mineral water?

1. Transparency. Natural mineral water is opaque under sunlight and contains no impurities or cloudiness.

2. Refractive Index. Pour natural mineral water into a clean glass and place a bamboo chopstick inside. Observe the degree of refraction. Non-mineral water does not have this characteristic because natural mineral water is rich in minerals.

3. Specific Gravity. Natural mineral water has a higher mineralization level, resulting in a relatively higher surface tension. Fill a glass with natural mineral water; if the water level rises slightly, it is genuine mineral water.

Alternatively, place a two-cent coin flat on the water surface. If it slowly sinks to the bottom, it is genuine mineral water; otherwise, it is counterfeit.

4. Heat Capacity. Under the same temperature conditions, natural mineral water absorbs and releases heat more slowly. In hot summer months, small condensation droplets usually appear on the surface of the bottle. Conversely, counterfeit mineral water will not show these characteristics.

5. Taste. Genuine natural mineral water tastes sweet and has no off-flavor. Carbonated natural mineral water has a slightly bitter taste, while non-natural mineral water has a chlorine odor.

6. Function. Natural mineral water added to baijiu (Chinese liquor) has no off-flavor and is very smooth to drink. Adding non-natural mineral water to baijiu will change the taste of the liquor.
